motoDNA Supports motoMEDICS For Increased Rider Safety In Queensland
motoDNA Riders Academy has announced support for a new pre ambulance critical care service that helps injured motorcycle riders in South East Queensland.
motoMEDICS Queensland is a non-profit organisation founded by riders with a background in emergency services to help the local riding community.
motoDNA CEO Mark McVeigh commented “I was immediately impressed with Ryan and Mitch’s passion and professionalism to help motorcycle riders and having seen the great work of Dr John Hinds first hand I was in no doubt this service will save motorcycle riders lives”.
motoDNA will provide advanced skills training to the motoMEDICS team at their Lakeside and Norwell rider training events.
“Theoretically, we should not need motoMEDIC’s but the reality is nearly 50 motorcycle fatalities in QLD this year. This is shocking, especially when many of the crashes are avoidable.” McVeigh said.
motoMEDIC QUEENSLAND co-founder Ryan Chase commented, “Nearly 50% of motorcycle fatalities are single vehicle accidents, many resulting from survival reactions due to a lack of understanding of available grip. “
“After I attended my first motoDNA training day, I had a greater understanding of my limit and the limit of my 300kg bike. This will not only reduce my chance of having a survival reaction, but also greatly improve my safety and riding enjoyment.”
